With these advancements and changes it is noticeable that people are unnecessarily busy, simultaneously enriched and empty, connected but isolated and alone.

It’s noteworthy that people think by being busy, they are actually productive but in reality they choose to be busy so they can procrastinate over tasks that matter. We can observe that the internet connection speed and the computing power are increasing rapidly along with the quantity of information and entertainment people consume for a day. They bombard people with a limitless amount of information. It is said that when people constantly procrastinate over important tasks they get stressed, and it directly effects on their personal happiness and the way they interact and treat others. Which could directly impact on their career and future.

If people want to achieve their dreams, then they need to learn how to plan and set goals and also to accomplish goals. Many successful business owners, top level athletes and achievers have a proven importance of goal setting in all fields. Setting goals give people the long-term vision and the short-term motivation. We can find that there are a number of online applications which let people to set goals and to track them. Some of the top listed applications for goal setting are Lifetick , Goals on track, Stickk. All these applications take a different approach on keeping users motivated and focused on their tasks, such as giving them weekly reports, share goals with other users, stakes etc. But the effectiveness of these methods are questionable. We can notice that all these applications mainly fail on how they keep users motivated and focused on their goals.

A system build using gamification techniques to keep users engaged, motivated, focused and also having fun while achieving their personal and career goals is a need at the moment.
